New York Cheesecake
Ingredients
Crust Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1/4 cups melted butter
- 1 tablespoon granulated white sugar
Filling Ingredients
- 3 8oz packages creamcheese
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1 zest of lemon
Topping Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups sourcream
- 1/4 cups granulated white sugar
Directions
Prep
Bring all ingredients to room temperature and pre-heat your oven to 350°.
Crust
- Combine the crust ingredients and press into the bottom of a spring form pan.
- Back at 350° for 10 minutes.
- Set aside when finished baking.
Filling
- Using a mixer combine all filling ingredients until smooth.
- Pour filling into spring form pan and smooth out the top.
- Bake for 30 to 50 minutes. Cooking time can vary alot. When the sides look like they have set but the center still has as lightly wet look it’s done baking.
Topping
- While the filling is baking combine the topping ingredients.
- When the filling is done baking pour the topping over it and smooth it out.
- Bake an additional 10 minutes and remove from the oven.
Cooling
- When your cheescacke is done baking remove it from the oven and place on a wire rack to cool. Let the cheesecacke cool completely. This will take several hours.
- When completely cooled cover the cheescacke and chill overnite.
